What the comparison includes
Petfair matches the exact normalised medicine variant and pack quantity, then uses the lowest approved direct pack price from one or more in-stock retailers. When only one exact retailer is available, the calculator says so rather than implying a broader comparison. Your expected medicine orders and written prescription fees are counted separately.
Each quantity shown is one whole retailer pack. The calculator does not combine packs, price a partial pack or estimate a quantity that is not listed.
Retailer prices and availability can change. Always confirm the medicine, strength, formulation, quantity and final total with the retailer.
About prescriptions and delivery
A valid veterinary prescription is still required. Petfair's current retailer dataset does not include delivery charges, so the calculator labels delivery as unknown and shows a before-delivery comparison rather than inventing a total.
